Our Work
Selected Projects
These snapshots will give you a sense of what we’ve done recently and how we have come alongside small organizations to help them create or dramatically improve their websites.
The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County
Burdened with a badly aging site, The Humane Society asked Onedotsix to help. We created a standards-compliant site with professionalism and compassion in mind. We also gave them an intuitive content management system so non-technical users can easily make updates.
Madera Woodworking & Gallery Madera
Part of Tacoma’s downtown renaissance, Madera is a fine art gallery and woodworking shop that needed a site as carefully crafted as its exhibitions and fine decorative furniture. The new site gives the business a bold first step on the web.
Tasini For New York: Senatorial Challenger to Hillary Clinton
Teaming up with Advomatic who handled development, we designed distinctive interfaces for Jonathan Tasini’s campaign website. Creating a grass roots movement to unseat incumbent Hillary Clinton, the site encourages New Yorkers to vote for what they believe in.
Rocknoggins
Frustrated by some previous bad experiences, artist Dawn Sorrell asked us to rescue her site. We earned her trust by moving her website to very reliable hosting and rebuilding its pages with a unified design scheme, solid code and search engine friendly features.
Barrel no. 51
The Gardner’s new, family-owned business needed a distinctive website to showcase their unique gourmet BBQ sauces. With a commitment to quality ingredients for their sauces, they knew a quality website would be a key ingredient of their business success.
Allen’s Computer Tech Support
Allen’s was embarrassed by their old website. We gave them a new site they are proud of. The redesigned site makes a professional and trustworthy impression to Allen’s medium to large corporate customers and integrates tightly with their existing marketing materials.
Suitcase Sightings
Over 125 artists teamed up for a city-wide art project, and we volunteered to put it online. We quickly created a site, and weeks after the launch, Project Designer, Lynn DiNino, told us it receives compliments every day. We’re proud to be part of the Tacoma arts community.
Trio Adventure Challenge
The Trio Adventure website needed to create some excitement about a Latin American adventure race, highlight its sponsors and communicate key info to teams and spectators--all in English and Español. Onedotsix was up to the challenge.
Our Prices
We understand that it is often hard to compare bids because web design prices are all over the map—from a student who will make a site for free to firms who charge more than the cost of an average home.
Although it’s important to build a customized quote to get an accurate number for your project, for an average small business that needs a website or a redesign, the ballpark figure would be between $2000 and $4000 depending on the scope and how much time is necessary.
We think photography is a great analogy to help people understand web design pricing. Almost everyone has a camera and can take a picture, you may have even handed your camera to a stranger to take a photo, but when it’s really important and you’ve got it get it right, most people hire an expert—think wedding photos or family portraits. It’s the same with web design. Many people can make a website, but at Onedotsix, we’ve got the expertise to make it great, and when you’re taking about your face to the world and your first impression—it’s important to get it right.
